Nakwamekui women group in Turkana central has beaten all the odds to run successful businesses. They truly deserved recognition as an example of the strength of a woman. They run 3 businesses namely a Posho mill, a shop and a Butchery in Lorkung and have an excellent repayment history. It has also created decent jobs for 3 Kenyans. They are committed and resilient despite the harsh environment in Turkana

Regina Kagunya - Nyeri Town Constituency

Over 64,000 women have benefited through the Financial Intermediary channel and Ms.Regina emerged tops for being an outstanding entrepreneur.She makes Woolen bags, Wooden necklaces, wollen bedcovers and shawls. Her originality and innovativeness won the hearts of the panelists. She has facilitated technology transfer through a machine she bought with our loans.

WAKENYA PAMOJA SACCO SOCIETY LIMITED

The Headquarters of the SACCO is in Kisii Town.

Wakenya Pamoja SACCO emerged tops out of our 66 financial intermediary partners. The most outstanding feature of Wakenya Pamoja is their ability to revolve the funds given to them from an original Kshs. 20 M to Kshs. 63M. Other features include positively touching the lives of over 2000 women, a well developed branch network and reaching the unbanked.
